I love a wall I can read! Take your favorite quotes and put them up on the walls with this easy, inexpensive idea!

Supplies: Canvas

Fabric

contact paper

spray paint

staple gun

printer and exacto knife

or a cricut machine

Step 1: Cover your canvas in the fabric you selected and secure it with a staple gun on the backside of the wood frame.

Step 2: Using contact paper cut out the letters of your saying on a circut machine. If you don’t have a circut machine, you can simply print off your saying in whatever font and size desired. Then place your contact over the top and of the paper, trace and cut out with an exacto knife.

Position the letters on the canvas. When you have them where you’d like them to be, peel off the paper backing and stick the letters to the fabric.

Step 3: When all the letters have been placed, spray a thick layer of spray paint over the entire canvas. Let dry. If needed, apply another coat.

Step 4: When it is dry, peel the letters off. The color and pattern of the fabric underneath the paint will POP through creating a GREAT contrast!

Hang it on your wall and enjoy!

another design option:

Instead of covering the canvas with fabric, just place your letters onto the canvas, spray and peel. The black and white combination is always a classic.

Mi chiamo Francesca (a.k.a. Frangia sul web!), ho 33 anni e abito nella ridente Repubblica di San Marino.
Conosco lo Scrapbooking e il Cardmaking dal 2003, e da allora non sono riuscita a farne a meno! Le mie passioni più grande più grandi sono fare cards, usare i timbri (ne ho una bella collezione) e fare pagine 30×30 sui miei amati viaggi.
Quando non mi dedico ai miei hobby, fra cui anche la fotografia e lo shopping (si può considerare un hobby no?), lavoro nella mia ditta che produce semilavorati per gelateria. Mi occupo della gestione logistica e del magazzino. Non è proprio quello che avevo studiato all’Università, visto che sono laureata in interpretazione simultanea, ma è cmq un lavoro molto impegnativo e molto soddisfacente :-).

My schedule has been too hectic to finish any real projects lately, so I’ve been getting my crochet fix by whipping up these tiny little butterflies in every color. The trick? Use embroidery floss. It comes in every shade imaginable, it’s the perfect thickness for little accessories, and it’s cheap. They’re perfect for cards, scrapbook pages, hair clips, they’d even be cute on the front of a baby onesie or beanie.
Below are my original patterns for how to crochet a butterfly. If you’re comfortable with a crochet hook, these will take you about 3 minutes to make. If you’re a beginner, watch our How To Crochet A Flower and How To Crochet A Heart videos. The butterfly is basically a four-petaled flower using some of the same stitches as the heart. The only stitch not shown is the dtr (double treble) used in the medium pattern, which you can see on this site. Here are patterns for five different sizes of butterflies, which measure from about 1 inch to 4 inches in size, although the size of your materials and your gauge may change the sizes slightly.
To create the abdomen and antennae, cut a coordinating piece of thread or yarn about four to six inches long (depending on your butterfly’s size). Leaving a short tail, wrap the piece around the middle of the butterfly twice. Tie ends in a double knot. Trim antennae.

Teeny Tiny Butterfly Crochet Pattern
Supplies:
*Embroidery floss
*Size 6 crochet hook
Ch 4. Sl st into first st to form a ring.
*Ch 2. 3dc into ring. Ch 2. Sl st into ring.* Repeat once.
*Ch 1. 3dc into ring. Ch 1. Sl st into ring.* Repeat once.
Fasten off. Create abdomen and antennae.
Small Butterfly Crochet Pattern
Supplies:
*Embroidery floss
*Size 6 hook
Ch 4. Sl st into first ch to form a ring.
*Ch 4. 3tr (treble stitch) into ring. Ch 3, sl st into ring.* Repeat once.
*Ch 3. 3dc into ring. Ch 3, sl st into ring.* Repeat once.
Fasten off. Create abdomen and antennae.
This card uses the small pattern.

Medium Butterfly Crochet Pattern
Supplies:
*Embroidery floss
*Size C hook
Ch 4. Sl st into first ch to form a ring.
*Ch 4. Work 3 dtr (double treble stitch) into ring. Ch 4, sl st into ring.* Repeat once.
*Ch 3, work 3tr into ring. Ch 3, sl st into ring.* Repeat once.
Fasten off. Create abdomen and antennae.

Large Butterfly Crochet Pattern
Supplies:
*Sport weight yarn
*Size C hook

New York, 28 giu. (Apcom) - La curiosità per tutto ciò che riguarda Marilyn Monroe non ha fine. Anche l’ultimo tabù, le immagini più ‘intime’ dell’attrice, è caduto sotto i colpi di un’asta: tre radiografie del busto dell’icona sono state vendute per 45mila dollari all’asta Hollywood Legends che si è tenuta al Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino di Las Vegas. Un prezzo stratosferico se si considera che la casa d’aste che aveva messo in vendita i pezzi, la Julien’s Auctions, aveva previsto un incassod a 3mila dollari. Le radiografie, fatte al Cedars-Sinai Medical Center nel novembre del 1954, coincidono a un periodo in cui si pensava che l’attrice, allora 28enne, avesse avuto un aborto. Altri Monroe-abilia sono stati battuti ieri all’asta. Tra questi la sedia usata da Marilyn per il suo ultimo servizio fotografico, venduta per 35mila dollari. Alla stessa asta sono stati venduti anche altri oggetti appartenuti ad attrici famose, contemporanee e non: un paio di orecchini indossati da Kate Winslet nel film "Titanic" è stato battuto per 25mila dollari mentre un vestito indossato da Audrey Hepburn nel musical "Funny Face", dove recita al fianco di Fred Astaire, ha raggiunto la cifra di 56.250 dollari.

Girandola TUTORIALfoto 01-02-03: prendere la vostra carta double-face, e tagliare dei quadrati di 7cm x 7 cm.
foto 04: voltare i quadrati e tracciare le diagonali con una matita.foto 05-06: disegnare un piccolo cerchio all’incrocio delle diagonali e con un taglierino tagliare dall’esterno verso il centro fino ad arrivare al bordo del vostro cerchio (è importante non tagliare fino al centro del quadrato)foto 07-08-09: voltare il quadrato ed attaccare al centro una goccia di colla, dopodichè attaccare uno per volta gli angoli tagliati sul centro del quadrato.
foto 10-11: attaccare un bottone o un abbellimento al centro della girandola per rifinirla.
